It’s the foodie dance and the foodie hoodie This dance is the lite version. I mean there was agege bread, egusi, moin moin in the house! Hubby says the way I dance when I get some hard to come by tastes is proof that I’m a foodie... could it be true?

Knock, knock - OF COURSE you can ignore your feelings. I might get a little bossy for a moment, but just know I need this constant reminder too! I’m with you, I’m with you But enough is enough with defending strong, flighty feelings only to find we’ve defended settling for less! Because often times, it’s the person with the highest EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE who WINS.... This is all in a context addressing toxic emotions, of course. If you’ve ever cried at a movie or jumped from a spooky prank, then you know the job of your feelings/emotions, (as grateful as we are to have them) is not to lead your life or tell you what’s real. They don’t actually know what’s real. They just react to the strongest stimulus IN THE MOMENT. And they can change. A lot. And actually, I wouldn’t say ignore. No - no passive aggression on yourself Don’t ignore your feelings. Recognize and direct them. And you might need a moment to be #inyourfeelings so you can #ownyourfeelings But ultimately, you need to decide if mastery in this area is valuable to you. Pick a solid, higher thought and talk to yourself, so your feelings can hear. You need to load up on these healthy thought principles of course, because if you reach in without, you’ll obviously come up empty. Ask for help in prayer and reach into truthful principles and what will really matter way down the line. Listen, you’ll have to let yourself feel the ouch TWICE. The ouch of what upset you and the ouch of choosing to let it go so you can grab a hold of something better. They may kick and scream, but they’ll eventually follow - that’s just how they work So did I ever put this statement on a @tribalmarksofficial shirt? Of course I did. It was one of our first collections, and a tribe favorite. Just musing

So Culture Day co-op was a smash! And since 2020 mostly deprived me of a special occasion to glam up with feferity, our Wild and Free tribe stoked my fire Y’all are the best company to ride this wave with! Not every thought or image that crosses your mind is yours. I remember that moment years ago when it occurred to me that fear was using my own voice, common sense and reasoning in order to conceal it's identity - Hoping I wouldn’t catch the toxic thought pattern, nor adopt the art of retorting and speaking back to my so-called self, (which you should), lest I was deemed nutty? I mean this spirit is ready to wield itself through any offense, memory, failure, trigger, illus...ion, insecurity, sense of inferiority, learned habits... basically those places where real love hasn’t been fully received. Tribe, just cut it off like a rude conversationalist; remember love, and SPEAK life instead.

Grrr. Double negative! I know - and I’m a chief cringer of bad grammar too. I am my Father’s daughter But I do like to get your attention and I could simply say do it afraid, however that might have turned into a cliche for many of us simply because we may have seen it so many times. But when we word things just a bit differently, I love the way it grabs our attention and thought processor And that’s exactly how it came to my mind today. The apprehension I was f...eeling from moving forward on my project, and the fear of failure, seemed to assume the authority over me to bring me to a halt! I sensed that the only thing holding me back was the feeling. That’s it. Just a flakey feeling! And I observed myself procrastinating or wishing I wouldn’t feel that way. And then I would feel amazing and confident to get it all done. Then I finally snapped out of it and into my authority and remembered how stuff works! Passive has no power, and nature abhors a vacuum. Fear does not intend to leave without force, so open your mouth and send it packing. Even if the feeling lingers, take your positive, productive and inspired next step anyway because that is how to replace the feeling. Feelings are followers, remember? And you are the leader.
