This is just wrong! In this day, in any day... this is uncalled for. I ask you to not support this type of behavior. Let’s lift each other up, not tear each other down. We are genuinely saddened to see a prominent figure in this industry behaving in this way, but also grateful that we can see your true values come to surface so that we can wholeheartedly stand against supporting your business. It’s disheartening to watch this unfold, as we wanted to support what you call the future of tattooing. Our staff at Outer Limits is extremely diverse, and we support and protect everyone that works at our studio and beyond . This video clearly shows that you do not. We do not share the same values, and we cannot be associated with you. Please do better. Please stop trivializing people’s existence. And please, keep in mind that you are as successful as people allow you to be. The future of this industry decides where you belong, and that future is very unforgiving of bigotry.

On this episode of Get To Know The CAMPERS we have the privilege of sharing the story of tattoo legend, Kari Barba the owner of @outerlimitscostamesa. Kari is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota but made the move to Southern California in 1980 with the hopes of opening a tattoo shop. Kari was inspired to start Outer Limits tattoo because it was her way to make an income doing something she wholeheartedly loves. It was what she felt she needed to do to make her mark on the world. After setting up the first location in Long Beach (formerly Bert Grimm’s World-Famous Tattoo Studio which fun fact is the oldest continually running shop in the US and the second oldest in the world) she built out the second location at The CAMP in Costa Mesa. Kari loved the progression the space had made within the Costa Mesa community as well as all of the offerings from healthy organic foods to sustainable products to the warm, fun and inviting atmosphere. What’s cooler about this whole story is that yesterday @outerlimitstattoo celebrated their 38th anniversary, 42 years of tattooing for @karibarba and co-owner @yvonne797 celebrates 27 years of tattooing!
