Celebrated Ashley’s first official week at the studio last night This has been a long time coming! Ashley and I were training for months before COVID hit, and we kept the faith for 8 long months of government mandated shut downs. Something I never thought we’d have to endure as I expanded my business in 2019 and built a 1200 sq ft studio to house multiple artists. Instead of planning a grand opening party like I had dreamed of ever since signing the lease, I found mys...elf trying to figure out how to get unemployment, telling Ashley we had to put her training on pause and cancelling over 100 client appointments. Most people are surprised to find out that KALON is a real word. It’s a Greek word that means beauty that is more than skin deep. When choosing a new name I really wanted it to reflect the core values of my business. Throughout my career as a microblading artist I quickly found that the restoration of eyebrows is about more than vanity or convenience. For a lot of my clients this service has given them something back that illness, medication, chemotherapy, time, etc. ...had taken away from them. And just like that, on the VERY first day of working out of the new space, we are shut down AGAIN. I’m so looking forward to all of our clients seeing the new space, and all the little details that went into designing it. I LOVE details, and the bathroom is turning out to be my favorite room in the new studio. Think-minty green Italian tile, marble floors, gold detailing and iconic women. I’m hoping that everyone who comes through the studio needs to pee because I want everyone to see itHere’s to hoping this doesn’t last another 4 months and to seeing you all sooner rather than later!
