Meet Mike! He’s the GM of @tengokuramenbar and we’ve been lucky to have him with us for almost 20 years! He got his start at Kabuki Pasadena and became a jack-of-all trades from managing the floor to understanding how to run a kitchen. When the ramen trend hit the States Mike saw it as something that would last beyond passing fads and took a job at a ramen restaurant just to learn the ins and outs of ramen knowing that Tengoku was in its pre-production phase. Only someone wit...h the best kind of character and determination could pull that off! The reason Tengoku rarely receives any negative feedback especially on the service side is probably because they’re on Mikes watch. He doesn’t just work though ..he is a family man, that is his true love and he has a boy and a girl waiting for him at home. He loves to travel and would go back to Switzerland if gets the chance! I just like it there. It’s beautiful. He loves trying out all foods-anything new- he loves the culinary adventure. And feels like @kaizendining is family- they create that kind of an atmosphere which makes it easy to work with them for 18 years.
