We all love United Air Lines, right!? Well, here's a short clip from my interview with Dave Carroll, a great singer/songwriter who I interviewed recently for my Everyday Heroes Podcast series. If you ever doubted that you had something worthwhile to say or offer to others, listen to this short clip from my interview with Dave and you might think twice. Dave also wrote a song a couple of years ago called "United Breaks Guitars" that went viral; you're going to love it and yo...u can find it on Youtube. United learned a lot from Dave's song and resulting improvement in their customer service and thanked him, eventually for pointing out some serious gaps in their service. I think we can all agree all our favorite airlines can use some help in the customer service area! I'll be launching my Everyday Hero podcasts in the next couple of weeks so keep a lookout for it. You just might be the next guest in my interview series!

If you want to go where no man, almost, has gone before you, you need to go to these places in Australia: http://bit.ly/2Eopmlz Crocodile Dundee says, "If you get lost you better have a real knife with you like mine!"

If you REALLY want First Class treatment on your next American Airlines flight, here's the way to go...but bring your checkbook! American Airlines Adds Private Aviation Touches American Airlines has boosted its Five Star service options on both sides of the U.S. through partnerships with two private aviation companies. Customers traveling through Los Angeles International and New York JFK Airports can now book PRIVATE HELICOPTER transfers through the airline as part of Americ...an's agreement with rotorcraft operator Blade. The helicopters will pick passengers up at destinations of their choice in both cities and fly them to the airports, where they will be met by an American Airlines team member and escorted via luxury car to Flagship First check-in. The number-one pain point of traveling from NYC and LA to the airports is traffic, explained Blade founder and CEO Rob Wiesenthal, adding that helicopter transfers can reduce a potential hour-and-a-half drive to just under seven minutes. Blade and American Airlines will now provide customers with a seamless experience from the door of the helicopter to their seat on their American flight. The airline also has inked a deal with The Private Suite, a new exclusive terminal at LAX designed for first- and business-class travelers that features its own private airport entrance and in-house TSA screening and customs processing. Passengers are then driven across the tarmac directly to their gate. Both services are available as individual add-ons to customers purchasing Five Star or Five Star Select services from American.

Flying out of Oakland today or tomorrow? Here's a pretty good parking deal https://gr.pn/2SmBGaT but if you're flying with this guy as your captain, make sure your seat belt is fastened! He's coming in a little high and fast but he's got all his feathers out so it should be a good landing!

Watch this if you're feelin' frisky! http://bit.ly/2TgJbVr But be careful if you're driving, you might be tempted to yank back on the steering wheel and make the car do something it wasn't designed to do! :) Cool music...

All you world travelers or world traveler wannabes! Here's a true insiders look at Egypt behind the scenes by Peter Greenberg at how to really see the country, but especially Cairo. There's 7 minutes of beautiful video http://bit.ly/2GBaVy3 maps of the center of the political and spiritual hot spots in the world and a great lesson on one of the most influential and historical places in the world:

Ever wonder why you feel cramped in a coach seat on your favorite airline? And why you might want to consider changing favorite airlines to get more legroom? Check out the different airlines "pitch" or the distance between your knees and your chin in this link! You may be surprised, pleasantly or otherwise, at the leg room on the different airlines? :) http://bit.ly/2TYiOQX And not that most of us will ever get a chance to look out the cockpit window of a large cabin business jet but if you did, this cool photo is what you would see as the sun comes up, or goes down, not sure which, looking through the HUD (Heads Up Display)

Come on now, Bezos don't do this! Jeffy wants to build an electric pickup truck but he doesn't realize this would send thousands of pickup truck owners to years of psychotherapy, especially guys like these who love playing trucky in the mud! Now that Amazon has given up on New York City, they're the main player in a new $700 million round of investments in Rivian, the startup that is threatening to put a fully electric, futuristic-looking pickup truck on the road by 2020... ...In fact, just a few days ago it sounded like General Motors might join Amazon in this venture. Please don't do thisJeff, click here if you aren't afraid: http://bit.ly/2GMR8e2

This is a rather mundane posting today so we had to come up with a goofy picture to get your attention! We figured most of us are in "holiday mode" so we didn't want to make it too heavy so here's the link! http://bit.ly/2Ii9QfV Click it to check out some great resources for travel insurance from one of our favorite "nomad" traveler friends, Goats on The Road; don't ask us how they came up with the name but they're a great resource on any kind of travel information.

How about a 20 hour flight from London to Sydney in a couple of years!? Heck, it might take you that long after the flight to recover from jet lag! :) Check this out http://bit.ly/2GtoYWm But you might not want to fly coach like in the picture; if you save your pennies, you can fly in Business class, work out in the gym, have your own bedroom and a nursery if you're bringing the kids along. Right now it's a toss up for Quantas between using the Airbus A350 or the Boeing 777X, soon to hit the streets, or I should say, the runway at the end of this year.

If you're flying out of Oakland International, don't let this happen to you! Here's a good deal on parking https://gr.pn/2DLyro7 so you won't get trapped by the garbage monster!
