A week-long photographic exploration of Havana, Cuba Led by fine art photographer Charles Anselmo (veteran of 31 trips to Cuba), this workshop will photographically engage Havana's extraordinary urban culture through its people, historical sites and the amazing splendor of the city's four hundred years of architectural forms. Working actively each day in a photographic environment, we'll explore the streets of the major urban districts while experiencing Havana's limitless ...examples of distinct architectural periods, from Baroque to Neoclassical, Colonial to Nouveau, Deco to Soviet. Evenings will include myriad opportunities for night photography, music, cultural events and meetings with arts professionals in their homes. PERSONAL MEETINGS WILL INCLUDE: Famous Cuban photographers Pedro Abascal and Enrique de la Uz Inda Barerra, director at the Havana School of Creative Photography Nelson Arellano, director of the Fototeca Nacional de Cuba Cristina Vives, curator, author and photographic art critic Miguel Coyula, famous Cuban architect and Havana city historian Limited to ten participants, this group will travel to Cuba legally in a licensed program of educational and cultural exchange. PROGRAM FEE, $2,500.
