It’s official: USDAA Cynosport Championships are cancelled. It’s the right thing to do as it insures health and safety during this Pandemic, but it’s sad nonetheless. Cheers to future years!!

OVER $5000 RAISED FOR OUR FARM KIDS GIVING DRIVE!! THANK YOU!! In our midst there are impoverished families struggling disproportionately. Some live on the ranch where Jump’n Java Agility is located in Half Moon Bay, CA. These families work both as farmhands on the ranch, and in other sectors that were forced to close or cut back hours per Shelter in Place Mandates. Their children have been at the mercy of the circumstances of this Pandemic. Since mid-March we at Jump’n Ja...va started a drive to purchase gift cards from Safeway to help the farm families feed their children. As a result of this appeal, Jump’n Java students and other members of the agility community, have generously donated over $5000. A very special thanks to UK Agility International for selecting us as their charity of choice for two weeks running, donating 50% of income from their At Home Agility by Video series. All donations have now been distributed to the farm families. It is so heartwarming to see good flourish in these difficult times. Bueno pasa!! Thank you!! Note that soon we’ll be launching the sale of tug toys made by the farm families. We will let you know when these toys are available. All of the proceeds after the cost of materials will go to the families that make them. Any support would be awesome!! Show Up. Be Kind. Together we can make a difference. ~Anne Kajava Jump’n Java Agility

FOUND!!! After a harrowing 72 hours, Sanders is back safe and sound!!! What a tremendous community effort it was. Thanks to all in our Coastside and dog agility community who helped in reuniting Sanders and his very special person, Andrea. Note that Andrea, a first responder as a nurse at Stanford, is the most gracious and brave young lady. Her search was relentless and she did not give up hope. She will take that same determination with her as she now returns to the frontlines during this Pandemic. Grateful.

UPDATE: For those who are Coastsiders and able to search for Sanders, we are meeting at 1:30pm today at the Half Moon Bay Distillery located at 155 Broadway, Ha...lf Moon Bay, CA 94019. We will coordinate our search efforts then. Bring a leash, food, and a dog-friendly dog. There have been multiple sightings in Hwy 1. Lost Dog in Half Moon Bay Meet Sanders. He was spooked by a car backfiring and bolted Saturday evening near the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. He is owned by Andrea James, the niece of agility friend Annie DeChance. Andrea is a nurse at Stanford and needs to work tomorrow. Let’s go on the frontlines for her so she can go on the frontlines for us. If you’re in the area please help find him. Messenger me if you’re able to go out and look and/or if you are local and can post details on Next Door.

Laura Manchester-Derrett Greg Derrett Thank you so very very much for your generosity in donating proceeds from UKI’s At Home Agility by Video trials to Jump’n Java Agility’s Farm Kid’s Giving. The hard hit families will have more food on their tables because of it. Let us all Show Up & Be Kind. Together we can make a difference.
