Love, real love, never dies. Relationships may not work, but if you really feel love in your heart, neither years nor distance can change it. True love is based on kindness, acceptance, respect, generosity of spirit and actually liking another person. When you love someone, their successes are yours. ... And their failures are opportunities for you to remind them that they tried, and in trying, that they won. Love isn't jealous. Love is OK with screwing things up once in a while. Love is stopping whatever it is you're doing to listen. Love is a hug. Looking someone in the eye. Paying attention. Showing up. Lifting up. Love is fearless...even when it's afraid. Love is not finite. Loving one person does not mean your heart can't hold love for another. The older I get, the more I realize that love doesn't come to us as pre-packaged assembly line perfection. That's advertising propaganda. Love is flawed, crazy, beautiful, magnificent. You can love someone and not fit into cookie cutter concepts of what that looks like. If you love someone, let them know. Even if you can't be together. Even if you're not right for each other. Even if the timing is wrong. Even if it's awkward or embarrassing. Let your love light shine. How people accept it is up to them. Tell your friends you love them. Tell your kids you love them. Tell anyone you love, that you love them. If you're angry, say so, and follow it with "I love you." It might feel weird at first, but the more you say it, the more powerful those words become. You'll do far more harm keeping it to yourself than you ever will by saying "I love you."

I am always struck by the fact that we crave connection and love, yet are so often unwilling and afraid to give or receive it, we may lead lives of lonely desperation. While we may long for love so much it nearly destroys us, we fear just as deeply that it will never be extended to us- just as we are. Fear is the root of much of what plagues us. Fear of the unknown. Fear that there is not enough. Fear of the other. Fear that if we allow ourselves to be who we are, no one will... love us back. What we fail to understand is that others can only love you as deeply as they love and accept themselves. If they cannot love you, it is because they are also probably afraid and do not feel loved. Their actions are based on who they are, and often have little to do with who you are. I submit that we secretly fear that we are not good enough. Until we accept that we have value, just because we are, we cannot hope to understand that others have value too. So what do we do? When we feel unloved, we usually take one of two paths. We may refuse to love or accept others, or we throw ourselves at others hoping for the acceptance and healing we crave. (Which they may, or may not give.) When we are hurting, we tend to become either aggressors or martyr. Neither of which is required. (Most of us are probably somewhere in between, a blend of both.) Hurting others, or allowing ourselves to be harmed because we feel we have no value is not love. Both are the exact opposite of love. Love is something else altogether. It is deeper, sweeter, fiercer, and far more powerful than the feeble things we call love. Real love does not hurt. Rejection hurts. Loss hurts. Love does not. The nature of love is far superior by orders of magnitude. And that, my friends is what we crave, what we need, what we ache for. Pain is the empty husk leftover when love has been removed. The thing is, the love we need is not outside of us. It can only come from inside of us. This is what we need to understand. WE are the love we seek, just as we are the light we wish to see. There is enough for all. We have the technology to feed everyone in the world. We have the ability to be create an world in which everyone has a place. What we lack is the will, because we fear that even if we choose to follow the path of love, others will not. So what? That is their journey. Only you can choose yours. My dear friend, if you are reading this, understand that you matter. you are beautiful just as you are. When you grasp this, the light that is within you will begin to shine, because it cannot do otherwise. May all beings be at peace.

Dio de Los Muertos. A day to remember and honor those we’ve lost. A day to welcome back the spirits. Light a candle. Write the names of your deceased loved ones on a leaf. Scroll a message to them on a piece of paper and drop it in a river, lake, or the ocean. Visit their graves. Speak to them. Sing to them. Leave a cake. Look at old photos. Make an altar, La Ofrenda. Take comfort in knowing this is not the only plane of existence. Give thanks to the Aztecs and people of Mexico for showing us such beautiful ways to honor our dead.

I love this sculpture it made me think that every man or woman you have sex with deposits & leaves a part of their soul in you. Most of us haven't been properly educated about sex. It's almost a taboo to discuss these things outside of private matters, but the silence leads to a lack of awareness of what it even is. Does anybody even know? I mean it is the most powerful force that creates life. Most see it as a physical experience, but forget the bond, connection, energy exch...ange, and deep cellular interaction one experiences with their partner. When men or women decide to have multiple partners, it can send mixed emotional signals inside of the body’s vibration system. People must be careful of different energies or spiritual forces polluting their internal temple. That imprint can often create illusion of a sexual addiction. Ever wonder why they call it sexual intercourse (INTER-Course)? It’s an internal course that unites man and woman, woman and woman or man and man, mind with mind, spirit with spirit, or energy with energy. This is something that a condom can’t protect you against because energy is behind the elements of all flesh. There is no such thing as casual sex or friends with benefits." Intimate activity intricately entwines the energies between two people. Sex creates a powerful exchange of sexual energy between those involved. These connections, imprints and debris are left upon the mind, soul and spirit for a long time because they are not easily purged or cleansed. This is the concept of how STDs are also formed, when multiple cellular communities (bodies) come in contact, a virus or bacteria forms. On a physical level we have been educated to use "protection" but on an energy level nobody discuses the affects it creates on ones mind, and soul. It's too much of a taboo and hidden away to avoid.
