Beautiful Seme's 2-years old dreads. She was my youngest dread start to date, & sat fabulously still to have them put in. She's a rock star!!! The initial dreads were about 1" long. My how they (& she) have grown!!!

Ok, this is a fun demonstration of different styles of dread startup, & how they mature. 1/2 of her head was back-comb & Palm-roll method. Then her friend gave up. She called me, & we decided to do latch-hook method on the other half. Can't tell the difference? That's because dreads have their own "set weight". Palm-roll dreads will start out large & loose & tighten as they mature. Latch-hook dreads start out small & tight & thicken up as they mature. However, BOTH methods will eventually give you the same size dreads. In reality, what makes mature dreads their size, is the thickness of the hair, & the area of root put into the dread.
