Teriyaki Broccoli - we cant stop making this! If you have a bottle of teriyaki sauce laying around it makes for a much quicker turnaround time but we are, by nature, scratch cooks! Swipe to see how we served it What you’ll need: 1 medium head of broccoli, cut into chunks 3 garlic cloves, minced ... 3-4 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp honey salt and pepper Optional: Sesame seeds Optional: Red Chili Flakes Instructions: Add 1/3 cup of water to a skillet, bring to a steady simmer. Add chunks of broccoli, season with salt, and cover. Steam for 5 minutes, then drain. In the same pan, add a small amount of butter or oil and sauté garlic for about one minute. Add soy sauce, sugar, and honey. Stir until combined and sugar is dissolved. Cook for 5-7 minutes. If sauce starts to cook too fast, add a splash of water or vegetable stock. Once sauce reaches a honey-like consistency, add broccoli back to the pan and toss. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chili flake if desired. Serve immediately! Our broccoli fields are booming, so expect broccoli in your CSA box in the coming weeks, or stop by the farmers market to scoop some up!

We are currently in that sweet spot where JR Organics has perfected overlapping seasonal cycles. Crops that are specific to summer can still thrive in the cool morning and evening temps and fall specific crops are able to withstand the heat we still sometimes experience throughout the day. Overlapping cycles allows us to serve our communities with as much diversity in our offerings as possible!
