Met a very talented artist @beliftedart and her beautiful momma today. She came to JOY specifically to see our @joystartsinourhearts sculpture created by @brch_artwork Kim was enchanted by our @driftoceandesigns bottle cap whale which led her to share her spectacular bottle cap mermaid with me . I love how the heart shows how truly connected we all are; how all three of these artist connect to the ocean, the planet and each other. Support the artist. Care for the planet. Remember, as we face each other and our differences, the ONE thing we ALL have in common is we ALL have a heart. JOY starts in our heart.

Today was a GREAT day! The coolest guy in the five cities delivered the cutest badass bike there ever was. Thank you Danny @villagebikeshopag for coming through. We met on the soccer field years ago and talked about your love of bikes. So stoked to see you doing what you love and that we can support each other’s dreams. It takes a village, a Village Bike Shop in AG to be exact. Deliveries coming soon! As soon as we know I won’t spill the juice.

It has been a year and we are still here. We have had to make some big changes in order to keep our doors open and the JOY flowing. Haven’t we all? Your health and the health of our community has been a priority since the day we opened and will continue to be for as long as you keep coming. Thank you for your support. Today is February 3rd, my very first favorite human’s birthday. He would have been 96 and he loved Oreos. I still feel him carrying me through life. Sorry guys, the yogurt machine has been very emotional lately. It will be shut down while we wait for our yogurt and the yogurt machine therapist to do it’s thing. We still got you covered with smoothies and bowls and even scoops of our blue magic or acai. All dairy free but full of flavor and JOY.

We have been using our marketing dollars towards our Shell Beach businesses who had already been suffering because of the Shell Beach Streetscape construction.
