Many people have told us that we should stay open, that other restaurants are doing it. That they don't want to see us lose our business. That they'll continue supporting us. Please continue supporting us and all the other restaurants, even though we are take out only. This is a family run restaurant with Jorge, his wife Magdalena, and their daughter Elena being the main employees. We don't have backup if one of us gets sick. If Jorge gets sick, we don't have a cook We d...on't have the extra employees to hold up the restaurant while we go out and protest or fight fines. We are doing what we can to make a living, and for us that means take out only. We appreciate all of our amazing customers. Many of you have asked how you can help, so here are some tips. Not just for us, but for some of your other favorite restaurants. Buy gift cards to your favorite places, gift them for the holidays. (This will bring up income in the restaurants and get some gifts out of the way.) Order directly from the restaurants. Third party delivery services charge the restaurants a fee up to 25% Advertise. Tell your friends and family about your favorite restaurants. This costs you nothing, but it could bring some new customers. Share them in a post, write a review, post some pictures. Be nice. (Another freebie!) We are all trying to make the best of the situation with what we have. A smile is hard to see through a mask, but a "thank you for being open" or "have a nice day" goes a long way. If you can, tip your waitress. Many of them have had their hours cut, and no tables means no tips for them. A simple $1.00 tip can really brighten up their day, instead of them going home empty handed. It also doesn't have to be money... some people drop off candies or baked goods as well. Everyone has a favorite at their restaurants, show them you appreciate them. Waitresses/waiters miss the conversations with our customers. We always remember your families, your special events you have cel
2020 has been a rough year, let us take you back in time and make this Christmas a little easier... we are now taking TAMALE orders again! *pork only* $25.00 +tax/dozen. Get your orders in by December 20th.
A friendly reminder that we are only able to run at 25% occupancy, which for us, is 20 people. Thank you to our amazing customers for being understanding, and above all else, patient. We reached capacity on 2 occasions today. We are thankful to all of our customers who have came back in for dine in, and the ones that still think of us for takeout!
First day back open for dine in was a success!! Thank you all for joining us today!
We can't wait to see you all tomorrow!
With us opening for dine in tomorrow, today will be the last day that we will be offering all 4 choices for the family specials. We will still be offering one for takeout only, which will be posted later today.
We will be opening Thursday, October 1st. We can't wait to see all of you again! Seating will be at 25% capacity, which is even less than last time we were open. There may be longer wait times than usual, please be patient with us. Once open, we will go back to our normal hours.
Restaurants are now able to open for dine in. (It will still be limited capacity, so be prepared for longer wait times, or call ahead to reserve a table.) We will announce when WE will be opening. As a reminder, our establishment will be requiring face masks. You can take them off once seated, but if you get up to pay/go to that bathroom, we ask that you please put them on. To us, this is not about politics, we just want to remain open. Please help us keep our doors open for you. We are not open yet, we will keep you posted!
Someone pointed out that a certain restaurant was open for indoor dining and we should do the same. Unfortunately, we will not be opening for indoor dining until we can do so without the risk of fines. Thank you for understanding.
Thank you Mike Zaremba for these pictures!
We will be closed Saturday 9/5 - Monday 9/7. We will reopen again on Tuesday 9/8. Have a happy and safe Labor Day!
Today governor gave an update... unfortunately for restaurants, it is still only take out or outdoor dining. We can't wait to be open again for dine in!
Can anyone offer some insight as to how to fix this issue... Google maps is directing people to shaw and helm by a car wash. This is the 5th time someone has told us about this and we can't figure out how to fix it.
It's been a long 3 weeks of takeout only, and it hasn't been fun. We get a lot of questions regarding outdoor seating. Unfortunately, at this time, we are not offering outdoor seating. Should this extend into the cooler months, we will revisit the idea, but as of now we are takeout only. We miss seeing all of our customers and chit chatting with you all. We hope to see you all soon!!
