The Market Report for May, 2018 As is typical for this time of year, the market is picking up and showing decent increases. Here are some of the notable statistics from the Crabtree Report for May 2018. Current listings for May were 1291, up 5.2% from April and up 3.7% from May 2017... Closed Existing sales were 635 for May, up 28.5% from April and up 15.9% from May 2017 Median Days on Market was 26 for May, up 8.3% from April and up 23.8% from May 2017 Existing Median Asking price was $289K, up 3.6% from April and up 7.2% from May 2017 Existing Median Closed price was $248,500up 3.8% from April and up 8.0% from May 2017 So, what does it all mean? Well, despite increasing interest rates, we are seeing a slight increase in homes for sale, demand went up almost 29% and reduced the unsold inventory significantly. Both the asking prices and sold prices are increasing, but it’s taking a little longer to sell them. So, our market is healthy and homes are moving nicely.
