And we're back in the middle of the holiday season! As I'm sure many of you know, it can come with difficult emotions for many people. Not all family memories of the holidays bring joy and comfort. It is important to remember, and remind our clients, that support can come in the form of "chosen family." Those are the people we have deemed safe, supportive, and comforting. If you're feeling disconnected from your family of origin, remember your chosen family can be there for you.
