We have no words for this incredible moment. On Saturday, in our MT Workout class, Leyla said, I’ve been working on a song I wrote and I’d like to share it. We said, of course! We weren’t ready for what we were about to experience. She wrote this song, music and lyrics. I can’t with these kids. This is just a snippet of her masterpiece. Stay tuned for the whole song, I’ll repost when she drops it Oh, did I mention that she wrote it herself?! She’s 11. I’m trying wrap my head around the brilliantness-of this all as well And, it stays with you, woke up this morning singing it. It’s so beautiful. Take a listen! Go Leyla! This is one of our most favorite moments in our MT Workout class we asked @erinsterlingt to choreograph a dance to the song she is working on to see what else comes up for her. This was the outcome and we were so impressed by her beauty, talent and willingness to take a risk and put herself out there. She took this assignment to another level and of course, we were all in tears. I love these kids so much. They are fearless and so eager to learn and grow. We are still on a high from yesterday’s masterclass with @darnellabrahamofficial! I knew we were lucky to have him but I didn’t know exactly HOW lucky He showed up ready to work and lead with kindness, acceptance, joy, experience & positivity. He was open to giving us all his Hamilton answers, direction, notes, and invaluable words of wisdom.
