Dear Governor Newsom, You do realize that Cosmetologists go to school for 1600 hours to prepare for our two part exam, right? We come out of school basically knowing nothing but sanitation. Do you realize that the majority of us are sick of this shut down and are to the point that even me, a rule follower, I will be breaking your rule? Do you realize that going to clients homes or them coming to mine is much less sanitary than allowing us to work in our clean and sanitized h...air salons? I of course will practice sanitation and be very cautious, but nothing comes close to how clean my salon is. The majority of the businesses you’ve allowed to remain open are not trained in sanitation. Not to mention the fact that we will most likely be paid cash. Do you know what that means? Less money we pay in taxes. I am an American through and through and I was taught to work for my money. That is what I intend to do in order to provide for my family. I’ve done what you’ve asked. I closed my business one week before I was forced to. I’ve stayed home. I’ve worn my mask. I’ve homeschooled and I’ve not taken a paycheck for 7 weeks. I refuse to force my family to live in poverty because you Sir, refuse to let us work. I am done and I am going back to work. #openlacounty I am tired of staying silent to appease the ones that disagree. Gavin Newsom See more

I love my Kuthaus team #togetherwewin We made this video as a salon project to show our unity and support for each other. At the core of this video the message is #togetherwewin as a family, salon, community and industry. As service providers we know how incredibly difficult it is for many of our clients and friends, we share with you many moments of our clients lives. We share your births your weddings your celebrations your graduations and even sometimes some of you...r darkest moments. For now we are socially apart but together in heart, we ask that you do your part as we are doing our part by closing the salon and staying home, we’re not just doing it for us but we’re also doing it for our clients. I can honestly tell you that the entire team at Kut Haus Salons is desperately awaiting the moment to return to work and service our clients. I post this as a challenge to other salons to share the message to their family, staff and community to Stay Home. See more
