Just in Time for Foster Youth

We're excited to introduce one of the newest members of the JIT Development team, Dylan! Dylan is a junior at SDSU and an active JIT participant, and joins us as our part-time Investor Outreach Coordinator. In his role, he'll be deepening relationships with the JIT investor community, sharing the mission and his personal experiences as a transition age foster youth. Dylan says he is glad to have finally found a position where he feels his strengths and passions work in tandem and he is doing something meaningful. Dylan, we're happy to have you on our team and appreciate your ambitious nature and positive attitude!

In honor of International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we want to share Annemarie's story of connection! Annemarie is studying biotech and through our Career Horizons service, was paired with a volunteer named Jill who works in the industry. With Jill's support and connections in the community, Annemarie was able to secure a paid internship in an HIV research lab! "I got to work with scientists from all different corners of the world and got my feet wet in nonprofit. I...t felt good; real world. Something that would give me an idea of post grad and what I want to do throughout my career, said Annemarie. Now she's continuing on her educational path toward bioengineering or materials engineering and has some real-world experience under her belt! Scholarship alert! FosterClub is awarding over $16,000 through their Outstanding Young Leader Scholarship Award for advocacy and service. Please join us in welcoming Tasha to the JIT team as our Civic/Faith Specialist, where she'll be developing and nurturing Just in Time's relationships with the community. Tasha is a familiar face at JIT, as she's been a participant since 2012, engaging in many of our services while dedicating herself to personal and professional growth. We love her positive attitude and creativity, and can't wait to see how she continues to grow with the organization!
