We are saddened to announce that along with our county fair, this years ranch rodeo is cancelled as well. Hope to see you all in 2021 ~ Jimmy Rogers Ranch Rodeo Committee
Members of the public have been asking if there will be a Kern County Fair in 2020. We are planning on it. While none of us know how the COVID-19 pandemic is g...oing to play out over the next few weeks and months, our staff is working hard to be ready for this year’s Fair, planned for September 23 October 4. We are hoping that this year’s Fair will be the perfect way to celebrate a return to normalcy in our community. With luck, it will be a time when we can again see our friends, sit next to each other at a concert, and smile, having weathered through a difficult time together. Exhibitors who choose to raise an animal for the annual Junior Livestock Auction can do so, working in coordination with their local FFA, 4-H, or Grange leaders. There is an effort to make sure that even if the fair is delayed or canceled, some sort of virtual auction is held. No guarantees, but we are optimistic. Same with those who want to enter crafts, or photos, or all the other great competitions our fair provides each year. You have got time on your hands here is your chance to shine! Our Rodeo and Monster Truck events are still scheduled, and of course, the 12 nights of FREE concerts at the Budweiser Pavilion. We understand how important the Fair and the Fairgrounds are to our community. We are doing everything we can to make sure that when the green light is given to resume normal activities, we will be ready to serve Kern County and its visitors. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions and keep an eye on our website for more details. The Fun Starts Here at the 2020 Kern County Fair.
