IN PRINT!! My story, Gifts of Cancer, is in this week‘s print edition of The Cedar Street Times. The paper chose the heading, Cancer Brings a New Normal, Page 8. Also, my light picture is on on Page 9. Very exciting! https://cedarstreettimes.com//upl/2020/12/12-25-20-Web.pdf

Recycling reservations? Has anyone else been told by Green Waste that they have to call ahead to recycle batteries and arrange for a pick-up the following week? Mine were left at the curb last week.

Pacific Grove Residents: This month’s Cal Am bill is the second time my water meter has been misread in the last four months. I was over-billed at two times my regular rate. Check your meter. Today’s reading (see photo), is 60 meter units less than what the reading showed a week ago. I understand that these readings are ‘guess-timated’. If your bill is extremely high (like mine was), it’s worth re-checking your meter. Call Cal Am. Be prepared for a long wait to get a rep and, hopefully, correct the problem. Some think we all have smart water meters. Not true. One picture is worth a lot of gallons.
A rally held in Pacific Grove today. Here’s hoping that the City listens to the people and supports building the right-sized hotel. This one has two swimming pools, really? At what costthe loss of 79 trees , the disruption to our natural habitat, all to build a 200+ room, three-story hotel. Say Yes to the right-sized hotel.
