Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you each have had a blessed day, surrounded by people who remind you how loved & cherished you are! Enjoy the chocolate today, just be sure to brush afterwards. Even though tomorrow is a holiday for some, we’ll be in the office if you need us!

Today we wear red to raise awareness for cardiovascular disease in women. Even in the midst of a pandemic, it is still the leading cause of death among women. There is a strong oral/systemic link, as well. Please be aware of your risk factors, stay active, feed & care for yourself well, and do not put off preventative visits with your care providers. Together we can make a difference!

This just happened! I was fortunate enough to receive my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine today. I am relieved and very hopeful as our numbers are trending in a positive direction. Hopefully you all are right behind me! I know the process has been frustrating for some of you. I am hopeful the new shipments will reach everyone soon. Please stay vigilant, safe & healthy!

We’ve been fielding calls about the COVID-19 Vaccine. Some have heard dentists can give the vaccine and want one from our office. True, dentists can take some training classes so we can administer the vaccine. I have signed up for access to these classes, but we do NOT have the ability to store the vaccine safely in our office. While I may be able to help people receive their vaccinations, it will not be on site. As phase 1a tier 3, our staff is now able to receive the vaccin...e according to the Sacramento County Distribution Schedule. As of today, one of us has been able to acquire her first dose! The rest of us are diligently working on it. Hopefully the distribution process will become more finely tuned as the process continues. Dear patients & friends, tomorrow is our last day at the office for 2020! As always, you know how to get in touch with me, should you need me. Especially on Memorial Day, I am thankful for the sacrifices made for the freedom we enjoy. My office is closed today, in observance of this holiday, but we will be back in on Tuesday.

Well, friends, today is a beautiful day! I hope you are able to enjoy it. We still don’t have a definite date for reopening my office. When we do open, things will be a bit different. I’ve been spending quite a bit of my free time making sure we will be prepared. Your health and safety, as well as ours, will remain my primary goal. This will result in some changes in our protocols and procedures, but our devotion to you remains constant! Aside from completing A LOT of dent...al webinars with leading experts, I have completed the replacement of my kitchen floor and trim work, done lots of gardening, chalked inspirational messages on our sidewalk, artfully executed a sheltering in place haircut for my son, and tried hard to love my people well in the midst of challenging times! Dear friends, by now you know your health and safety is my utmost priority. Today at the office we wore red, passed out little red dress pins, and shared information to help raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) in women. It’s the number one killer of women and 80% of cardiovascular incidents are preventable! There are direct connections to oral health, as well. Dear Friends & Patients, thanks for being part of our dental family in 2019! It was a great year. Our office is now closed for Christmas & New Year. We’ll be back on January 6th, 2020 - rested, refreshed and ready for another wonderful year with you!
