FIRE CREWS WILL BE ON CAMPUS TODAY USING THE STADIUM FOR TRAINING. Please do not be alarmed if you see equipment and crews. Jesuit Sacramento is hosting Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District for their Pack Test on April 16, April 19, and April 23 from 9 am to noon Part of the certification for a firefighter is a pack test. They have to carry a 45-pound vest for 3 miles in under 45 minutes to complete this test. The on-duty crews will be rotating throughout each day From 9 am...-noon using Jesuit’s track. They will be entering off of Fair Oaks Blvd and exiting out through American River Drive. Jesuit is dedicated to serving and caring for our community and we are honored that Sac Metro can use our facilities for this vital training.

ICYMI All parents and students received an email last night with details for tomorrow's 2nd week of classes for the Spring Semester. There are additional on-campus opportunities beginning for our students. To access campus, all must have taken last week's drive-thru COVID test. Students who missed the January 6 PCR testing will need to remain on distance learning for two additional weeks and may then begin their in-person learning on January 25 after completing their standa...rd Monday and/or Thursday COVID screening process - similar to what has been done since October. Today begins the second semester and students and teachers will continue to have classes on campus just as they have since October thanks to strong virus mitigation efforts and proactive COVID screening. Additionally, Jesuit and our medical provider, Urgent Care Now, are pleased to assist many of the Diocese of Sacramento schools to facilitate COVID drive-thru screening for their middle school students, faculty, and staff. Members of our greater Sacramento Jesuits community joined together simultaneously with Jesuits West members in Portland, Oregon, and Spokane, Washington Monday evening, to pray and give thanks to election workers ahead of the November 3 Election Day. Locally, Sacramento CORE with volunteers from Cristo Rey High School Sacramento St. Ignatius Loyola Parish and Jesuit High School gathered at the California Secretary of State for a prayer vigil.
