Bodypaintings inspired by Brothers Grimm folk tales I feel the time has come for me to finally post about this series of bodypaintings. Back in 2016, lots of research and artistic effort went into each of these images. I wanted to challenge myself as an artist to create a series inspired by 7 select Brothers Grimm fairy tales. My concept was to make each woman into the main characters as beautiful queens and princesses, with their stories illustrated on their bodies. I made... the custom headpieces and I did everything from the makeup, hairstyling, bodypaint, and photography. Thank you to everyone who helped with this series, and for your patience. I had high hopes of publishing these in some official way, or revealing them in some kind of dramatic fashion. But my knowledge of photography is quite limited, and I am happy now with looking at these as a wonderful practice of my abilities and remembering the experiences of being creative with my friends. Unfortunately I hide these for so long because I had a long and painful falling out with the videographer whom I invited to collaborate with on this project. The making-of videos to go with this series may never be shared. Please remind me if you were involved in this series and deserve credit. Even though I do not do my magic puppet show often anymore, and I struggled with one of my newest magic tricks, the show went very well overall. The ice queen returns this weekend!
