Jensen-Alvarado Historic Ranch and Museum

Cornelius Jensen was the patriarch of the Jensen family. He built more than just a ranchhe built a legacy that has lasted over 100 years!

Tomorrow June 20th, is the first day of summer! I am sure we will soon all start feeling like dried out cacti in the middle of a desert sometime soon. Although we're not open yet, keep cool because it won't be long before we get to welcome you all back!

In this picture you can see pieces of farming equipment that were used when this was a working ranch. Farming brought food and security to the ranch.

If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music Albert Einstein. Music is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?. The piano pictured here belonged to Mercedes Alvarado in the late 1800’s and can still play music today! Schedule a tour this Saturday May 16th and take a closer look at the ranch. We’ll be open between 10 a.m. and 4 pm. Entry is only $4 for adults and $3 for kids.
