Proud to play a small role in helping to keep these lands wild and free while I'm wearing one of my other hats as attorney for the MRCA, the agency that owns this land. Glad to know this wilderness is so close for us city folk to enjoy!

In another capacity, I am proud to serve as a board member for the Go For Broke National Education Center, a non-profit that highlights the legacy of brave Japanese American WWII veterans and makes it relevant to our modern times. Along with the Little Tokyo Service Center, we have been working on securing a lease for this project for several years. Thanks to LA Councilmember Kevin de León, not only did we get our lease, it was expanded to include almost the entire vacant p...ortion of the 1st Street North block in Little Tokyo. Not only will this provide a permanent home for Go For Broke and 200+ units of badly-needed affordable housing, it will be a MAJOR expansion of the Little Tokyo community after years of contraction and encroachment. This is huge for Little Tokyo and for LA. I am extremely proud to have played a small role in this project. Thanks to everyone who helped to make this possible! Especially Little Tokyo Community Council - LTCC.

Congrats to Assemblymember Rob Bonta! Perfect choice by Governor Gavin Newsom in this time of increased targeting of members of the AAPI community!

Saturday's Stop Asian Hate vigil was incredible. So grateful to the organizers and hundreds of attendees to came out to show support for our local AAPI community here in the SGV and nationwide. My daughter was very affected by what she heard. Through tears, she said she was glad we went, but she was very scared for her grandmothers and our family. She could not understand why people would target people for hatred and violence just because of their race. Me either. I hel...d her hand, gave her a hug, and told her that it is scary and very sad, but that it takes good people of all backgrounds to step up, speak out, and protect each other in tough times. Please keep this effort up - it's the only way we can move forward. #StopAsianHate #alhambrastrong
