In order to take care of our students, families and each other, we first need to take care of ourselves. In honor of Healthy Choices Week and to demonstrate the IB Learner Profile of being Balanced, we are challenging each other to complete as many squares as possible on our Jefferson Wellness Bingo board. Reflexiones - Yo importo porque INVITAMOS A TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES A ENVIAR DIGITALMENTE sus piezas originales visuales, fotográficas, literarias, de producción cinematográfica, coreografías de danza y composición musical. Sí, lo leyó correctamente: ¡todas las ilustraciones se enviarán y se mostrarán digitalmente este año! Estamos muy emocionados de ofrecer esta nueva oportunidad a nuestra comunidad. ¡Ahora familiares y amigos de todo el país y de todo el mundo podrán recorrer... las increíbles obras de arte de nuestros niños! Este año, el tema de Reflexiones de la PTA es "Importo porque ..." El tema fue presentado por un estudiante de California hace dos años, pero tiene un fuerte significado para nuestros niños en este momento. El tema no solo hace referencia directa a los elementos culturales feroces que atraviesan nuestra sociedad, sino que también ofrece a cada estudiante la oportunidad de expresar su valor individual durante la actual pandemia de coronavirus durante la cual se han enfrentado a una separación repentina y cambios significativos en sus rutinas diarias. Nuestros niños tienen algunas emociones que expresar y el arte es una forma importante de expresar esas emociones. El Programa Reflexiones de la PTA existe para ayudar a todos los estudiantes a explorar sus propios pensamientos, sentimientos e ideas, desarrollar la alfabetización artística, aumentar la confianza y encontrar el amor por el aprendizaje que los ayudará a tener más éxito en la escuela y en la vida. Reflections - I Matter Because... WE INVITE ALL STUDENTS TO DIGITALLY SUBMIT their visual, photographic, literary, film production, dance choreography, and musical composition original pieces. Yes, you did read that correctly: all artwork will be submitted and displayed digitally this year! We are really excited to offer this brand new opportunity to our community. Now family and friends from across the country and around the world will be able to tour our amazing kids' ar...twork! This year the PTA Reflections theme is "I Matter Because..." The theme was submitted by a California student two years ago, but it holds a strong meaning for our kids right now. Not only does the theme directly reference fierce cultural elements running through our society, but also it offers each student a chance to state their individual worth during the current coronavirus pandemic during which they have faced sudden separation and significant changes to their everyday routines. Our kids have some emotions to express, and ART is an important way to express those emotions. The PTA Reflections Program exists to help all students explore their own thoughts, feelings, and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
