Jeep's Drive In

My brother George (Pinky) Dillon took this photo around 1958..Originally in that driveway where the sign appears were 4 beautiful Redwood trees taller than the buildings. The City of San Anselmo made us cut them down when we broke ground to build Jeep’s in 1955, we could have sculptured the drive around them... Really a shame.

Happy 60th Anniversary Jeep's. It was 1957 when Jeep's Drive In opened it's doors, or should I say WINDOWS. A day and time I will never forget. Ah 24 Cent Hamburgers cooked to order by my dad and those delicious milkshakes whipped up by my mom and your Crisp FRIES, by yours truly. And I took your order at the window. I was 11. LOL, Yes I had a Work Permit. Miss you mom and dad and all the fun we had for the next 17 years at Jeep's(we closed the doors in 1974) when we sold the property.
