As the USDA notes in Keeping Food Safe During an Emergency, your refrigerator will keep food safe for up to 4 hours during a power outage. Keep the door closed as much as possible. Discard refrigerated perishable food such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and leftovers after 4 hours without power. Plan for power outages by preparing/eating those perishable foods.

We are finally reopening with new hours of operations and limited appointments available per day. We will be abiding by Alameda County’s guidelines including masks, temperature checks and social distancing. Hello Everyone, we have changed our business hours and wanted to let everyone know. We will now be open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturdays by appointment only.

Spring Cleaning tips for your appliances! 1. Vacuum or blow out your coils under the refrigerator, over time dirt, animal hair and dust bunnies will collect and make your compressor over work itself to cool off. Once or twice a year clean those coils underneath or behind the fridge. 2. Check your dryer vent hose for lint build up and make sure it’s vented outside of the house properly. While the dryer is on, if you don’t feel good force of the air coming out, might be time to... replace your hose or get your ducts cleaned professionally. 3. Dishwashers and washing machines should be run once a year with nothing in them, hot water option selected and white vinegar. This will help clean out the funky smells and build up of gunk inside the machines. If you need any help with locating your coils, cleaning out your vent hoses or any other appliance questions or problems, please give us a call and ask away. Better to be safe than sorry!!
