Hey, Los Gatos, California! If you're downtown this weekend, you just might see an ArtCar parked at Royce and N. Santa Cruz Ave: PhilCo. PhilCo is the 7th ArtCar designed by artist Philo Northrup, and yes, it's street legal. Philo spends thousands of hours drilling reclaimed materials into a brand-new car: an assortment of mid-20th-century appliances and car parts; bones and horns; rhinestones and living succulents. An assortment of Philo's colorful, small-enough-to-sit-on-...your-dining-table readymade assemblage is available at the Art Haus this Fall, and it's all delightful.
