Very thankful to the city of Yucaipa for letting us completely shut down Wildwood Canyon Road for the entire day in order to complete this sewer subsidence. We ended up excavating to a 31/2 ft depth in order to find some decent sub-grade to work with. Here we are installing the final 1-inch overlay around 5:00 pm, just before opening the road up. Asphalt is one of the most popular paving choices for pathways in public parks and recreational areas. Why? It costs less to install and maintain, it lasts for as many as 20 years, and it lends itself to flowing, organic paths that blend into the landscape.

It’s important to remember that choosing an asphalt driveway or parking lot will require that no one use the surface for two to three days after application. If your building only has one parking lot, we may be able to help you plan for a time when the fewest people will be inconvenienced by our work.

An important part of driveway replacement involves the inspection and repair of the sub grade. This way, any issues can be corrected, including the presence of mud, shallow utilities, excessive moisture, or an incorrectly installed sub grade layer.

If your parking lot is in area with a lot of water flow, you may want to consider porous asphalt. This specialized application of asphalt allows water to drain through the asphalt's surface. The water goes into a stone recharge bed, then into the ground water without any toxins.

Mindful of the environment, we use recycled asphalt regularly. Most of the asphalt we install is Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Mix, made up of older removed asphalt blacktop mixed with aggregate and new asphalt binder.

To avoid power steering gouges on your new surface, don't turn the wheels of your vehicle while sitting still in your driveway. The kneading, grinding action of the tires moving on the bias against the asphalt can create "cupped out" areas on the surface.
