Last year, I shared the story of Angela, who was suffering from a severe headache while 21 weeks pregnant that we discovered was due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage. It's such an incredible story I wanted to share it again with you.

If you are touched by the story of the Avery family, whose two young children were diagnosed with brain tumors just weeks apart - something that is incredibly rare - I encourage you to consider donating to their Go Fund Me Page. You can read their story in the link from my previous post. https://www.gofundme.com/fight-like-the-averys

I recently operated on two young siblings who were diagnosed with the same type of brain tumor, just weeks apart. I was able to remove their tumors fully, and now they begin their journey of treatment and recovery. The Los Angeles Times shared their story yesterday: http://www.latimes.com//la-me-ln-brain-tumors-averys-20180.

Harold lived with back pain for 9 months with days so severe he couldn't get out of bed. After getting a MRI and X-rays, I noticed nerve compression and spine displacement with sciatica running down both legs. I immediately took him into surgery and after only two days of recovery, his pain was gone!

Since it’s March and March Madness is coming, I had to share one of my favorite videos. Jalen was almost kept from playing basketball again when his fifth lumbar vertebrae slipped forward over his sacrum. If he didn’t get surgery, he wouldn't be able to play basketball again. I performed decompression and instrumented fusion to help repair his back and six months later, he was back on the court! Remarkable recovery for a remarkable young man.

Without quick action, this 7-year-old girl would be paralyzed for the rest of her life. Read how we treated her Langerhans Cell Sarcoma, one of rarest diseases I've ever encountered: http://bit.ly/2HIO6Wa

This young 10-year old stopped breathing suddenly due to blood in his brain and compression of the brain stem. Without blood flow and oxygen to the brain, I was worried that not even surgery could save this child. Read what happened next: http://bit.ly/2mHgpuw
