Today we hold black belt test at our Bakersfield school Japan Martial Arts Academy

We had a great training in Bear Valley on Saturday. This training was free of charge and covered kata, kijon, kumite skills and Kobudo. After the training every...one was treated to grilled hotdogs and hamburgers. We will be conducting black belt and Kyu testing On Saturday October 17, 2020 from 0900 to 2100. All testing will be conducted outside, behind the dojo. Kyu t...esting will be from 0900 to 1000 hours. Black belt testing will be from 0900 to 2100 hours. You can either mail in your forms and fees to the dojo, 9600 Retail Dr. Suite 102 Bakersfield, Ca. 93312 or bring your forms and fees to the dojo from 1400 to 1700 hours Monday through Thursday. Black belt candidates will be receiving additional information as soon as I get it from the Kenbudokai organization.

No zoom class Monday Labor Day

Our training in Bear valley is still on for 8/9/20. Please contact me on Facebook or leave a message on the dojo phone if you plan to attend. Remember the training is free, however I need the name of the person driving so Sensei Sandra Ryan can have a gate pass made for you. The training will begin at 9:30 am and go for about 4hours.

Good news, the Governor is allowing gyms to open next Friday, therefore the Japan Martial Arts Academy will be opening next Monday. The schedule will be as normal with the exception of the S.E.A.L. team class. I look forward to seeing you there!

All of the technical issues with zoom has been resolved. Today’s class went without a hitch. My students are invited to join me for class tomorrow at 4:00

Due to the corona virus situation the Japan Martial Arts Academy will be closed to all classes including private lessons. I will be monitoring the instructions given by the governor and will reopen once giving the authorization to do so.
