As a measure of caution in relation to the containment of the COVID-19 Virus, we are closing the garden to the public until further notice. We will also be suspending all tours of the adjacent Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant. This decision was difficult, but the health and safety of our employees, docents, volunteers, and visitors is our primary concern. We understand that this temporary closure may cause some inconvenience for you and we appreciate your understanding. Our entire team looks forward to welcoming you again when concerns have passed. Thank you for your continued support.

Unfortunately, the Garden is still closed to the general public. With no end to the pandemic in sight and the strict regulations at hand, we’re not certain when we will be able to open our doors again. We appreciate your patience during this time. We will continue to post the progress of the Garden as we move through the fall season and into winter. thejapanesegarden.com #japanesegarden #waterreclamation #water #garden #recycling #recyclingwater #nature #donaldctillman #lacitysan #japanese #japangardenla #trees #lake #trail #sfvalley #vannuys #losangeles #shoinbuilding

Recycled water can be used in place of potable water for industrial, landscape and recreational purposes in addition to other beneficial uses like irrigation of gardens and groundwater replenishment. LA Sanitation operates four water reclamation plants with a combined capacity of 580 million gallons of recycled water per day. The Donald C. Tillman plant provides @japangardenla with ample freshly reclaimed water for many of the garden’s needs. thej...apanesegarden.com #japanesegarden #reclaimedwater #waterreclamation #donaldctillman #waterfall #recycledwater #water #groundwater #irrigation #japangardenLA #losangeles #sanfernandovalley See more
