[Let's Fight Against Corona Together] Happy Tuesday! It should be a great day.... Also, we recently had a break-in at our restaurant downtown. Please be cautious of similar incidents, as ours is not the only incident recently. However, with City of Vancouver staff and patrollers were very considerate and resourceful that they have put up the temporary hoarding wall before we arrived. We are grateful for their promptness and generous spirit. And we also wanted to take something valuable out of this setback, and dedicated the wall and convert it to a message board, to symbolize that we will fight through the pains (as many of you are) and face this difficult times together. JAPADOG & Anthony Bourdain This morning's news of Anthony Bourdain breaks our heart, and our condolence goes toward Anthony and his loved ones too. It was over... a decade ago when we first was contacted by by Anthony. During the time JAPADOG had only one food cart location in Vancouver, almost 3 years into the operation. To be honest, we initially wondered who this Anthony Bourdain person could be, and we almost turned off his interview offer, partially because our operation became busy as well as us not being fluent in English, and also because he were unfamiliar about his fame and influence. On the TV interview date, it was stormy and heavy rain from the morning. We remember Anthony tasted our topseller JAPADOG menus, Terimayo and Oroshi, dipping on Wasabi Mayo condiment. We waited anxiously on his critical review and sharp tongue comments, but soon he proclaimed "This is Delicious!!!" we were super-relieved. We still remember that impressive moment. Following the broadcast of the show, we have been received enormous contacts and comments from the viewers all over the world, thanks to the great impact and influence of TV networks. His TV show definitely changed the course of JAPADOG's history and brand awareness. We hoped to see him again and show him the growth of JAPADOG ... and we will really miss him. Thank you, Anthony Bourdain, from the bottom of our heart! JAPADOG had many dream came true because of you. Now it will be our turn to deliver the dreams to the world.
