Love the demeanor of this person! Today, a client’s large German Shepherd dog reacted to me this way when he saw me sitting on the couch. He launched himself over the arm of the couch I was sitting in and bit at my shoulder and the sleeve of my shirt. Had I not previously turned my face away to diffuse his aggression I think I would have been wounded. Whew!

These are great beds. I choose the mesh fabric because they allow more air circulation during warm weather and dry quickly if my dogs are wet from swimming. The smaller size makes a lightweight step for my car and absorbs some pressure on my dogs’ shoulders when they jump out of car. Great for training platforms. Night night time for eager Havanese puppy!

I just introduced this apartment-dwelling dog to a long line. Wahoooo! Happy dance! No longer restricted to six feet everywhere he goes.

During my summer travels I had the opportunity to create some content for FirstMate in Canada. The header photo in this blog post is of my dog at a beautiful private residence in Bishop, California. My dogs enjoyed swimming in the pond and running about the pastoral, grassy yard - all purposefully landscaped for the benefit of the resident Labradors. In the video, my friend's dog Piper from Minden, Nevada, is learning how to get on a platform. She was adopted at age 10 to her third and final home with my friend, Nancy. Bucket list checked: Playing with a litter of Belgian Malinois puppies! Chaotic and crazy and I loved every moment.

***Edit: Guinness is now in a perfect, peaceful home and is very happy! This is Guinness who stayed at my for four months. I am currently in Washington for a reunion and refresher course with him. He is amazingly responsive to scheduled exercise and consistent guidance. Athletic and handsome guy who has shown me great loyalty and devotion.
