Basco is a beautiful 7 year old black and white male. He is very healthy and up-to-date on his vet work. He has been treated for struvite crystals with Hills prescription diet urinary care C/D for 5 years and has had no recurring problems. Basco is territorial and may be best in a single cat household. May be ok with a dog. He is playful and loving with lots of energy, likes soft fabric balls and hair mice on wands. He prefers shag rug scratching posts and doesn't like r...ope posts as his claws get stuck in the rope. Although slow to open up, Basco will become attached and loves it when you sit on the floor with him. He loves his head rubbed, but not his belly. Basco loves to sleep near his human at night. He would like a soft chair next to the bed. This boy is not afraid to ask for what he wants and will come up and nip you on the elbow to say he needs attention. He doesn't like the vacuum or garbage trucks and will run and hide from those mechanical monsters! Miss Kitty is a beautiful black and white female cat about 8 years old. She has an amazingly silky soft coat and stunning gold-green eyes. She is shy and would do best in a home with 1 or 2 adults. She doesn't play well with other cats or dogs so will shine as the only household pet. She prefers exclusive rights to any and all human love and attention! Once Miss Kitty has adjusted to her new home, she'll let you pet her from head to tail and roll over for much appreciated b...elly rubs. She's not much into being picked up or to be expected to be a constant lap cat. That would be silly according to her independent thinking, but she'll make up for that on chilly nights by keeping your head warm on your pillow if there's room for her. Understanding her shyness and need for a calm, quiet environment in support of a successful transition to a new home will pay off greatly - for both Miss Kitty and her new loving parent(s)! This sweet girl is a little treasure. Here is what her foster mom has to say: Turtle is an 8 month old kitten that I have been fostering since she was 8 weeks old. She is a classic Blotched Tabby with stunning coloring and a stunning personality to go along with it! She is lively, happy, playful and extremely affectionate. Her insatiable curiosity keeps her well entertained either solo or with a buddy. She is outgoing and does really well with new cats and quickly becomes friends with them. She will approach you, and strangers, upon entering the room and is not skittish. All in all, she is the perfect cat! But there is one minor health issue: she has chronic diarrhea and needs to stay on a special prescription diet. The diet does wonders, and as long as she stays on it she will remain healthy. She has been examined by a veterinarian for any obvious GI issues, and has been given a clean bill of health other than a possible unknown allergy issue. So Turtle needs a special home that will conscientiously attend to her special dietary needs. For this reason, she may do best in a single cat household with an experienced cat parent. Cookie is a beautiful two year old Calico girl. Unfortunately, her human needs to rehome her because of health issues. Like many kitties, she is a little shy and needs to be the one who initiates contact with a stranger. She was raised with two dogs and often had children visit. The chaos of the bunch has made her shy. She needs a home without dogs and small children. Cookie is mellow with her human and will even let her claws be trimmed. Maynar is a very cute (just look at that face) black-and-white boy who is about 5 years old. Maynar is FIV+, which is not much of a problem these days as long as the cat is kept indoors for life. He would do well with another FIV+ cat or even a cat-friendly dog. These three are 1 boy and 2 girls, about 3 months old. They are from the same litter, but are not bonded. They are in a wonderful indoor foster home with a very experienced foster family, so are being properly raised. The kittens are friendly and, of course, love to play. In the next month, they will be spayed/neutered and then ready to go to their new forever INDOOR homes in the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. Snowflake is a lovely boy who is looking for an indoor home in the North or East San Francisco Bay Area. He is up to date on all his vet work and has been neutered. He is... very loyal friend and will always be by your side. When guests come to visit he will come out to greet them and is very comfortable being around people. Besides playing, he enjoys a good selection of windows for bird watching. Head and chin scratches are always welcome. He's also a good communicator and will very gently let you know with his mouth when doesn’t want to be petted anymore. He is a 6 Year old Flame Point Siamese with beautifully soft fur that would benefit from daily brushing."
