Another almost finished empire waste dress/tunic this time in the most beautiful wool, purchased forever ago at @britexfabrics.The pattern is #florencedress from @merchantandmills. Hand stitched-my new favorite way to construct. No dogmatism (this time! Ha!)-I did serged all the pieces when they became too unruly and frayed beyond my comfort zone. There is a tonal thing going on which is quieter than so many choices being made in yarn dying. Consiquently, I feel they will be a longer lasting closet staple because of it. When we make garments and accessories we think about so much before we start. A garment's longevity should definately be a consideration. This one is slightly heathered, soft enough to wear close but sturdy also for outerwear..
