You might not be able to tell from these photos but 8-year-old Warrior Kelly just finished up six weeks of grueling radiation for bone cancer. Kelly and her family (in the second picture) have had to endure a lot & Jacob's Heart has been honored to be alongside this strong girl and her family. The family lives in Monterey County and had to commute daily to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto for treatments. After a lot of hard work, sacrifices, emotional rolle...r coasters, and pain, Kelly finally rang the bell signaling her last treatment. She said she was ringing the bell in honor of her family members who did not get the opportunity to do so - you can see her loved ones in the photo she is holding. Kelly is such a warrior and inspires us to continue working hard to support families just like hers. You help us do that. At Jacob's Heart, we have a lot to be thankful for.
