Handbags Your high-quality handbag should last a few years, but we’ll help your handbag last longer while looking it’s best! With the level of handbag restoration service we provide, you’ll leave with your handbag looking like you just ripped the tag off. This is done by conditioning the leather, cleaning it and shining it. These methods are necessary in order to replenish natural oils in the leather.... All of the above work will be completed by one of our professionals. They will diligently work to check for and repair minor tears and torn seams inside and out. Additionally, we also make simple, or cosmetic, repairs such as shortening straps, mending seams on both the inside lining and on the outside, fixing broken toggles, and replacing zippers and clasps. Yes, it’s a lot of work but it’s absolutely necessary to ensure your handbag leaves with the glow it had when you first purchased it. Shoes Like handbags, quality footwear lasts a long time and we can help your shoes last even longer. When you bring your shoes to us, our experts will inspect them for any sign of wear and tear. Once the problem areas are identified, we work to refurbish your shoes until they are back to like-new condition. Our experts will clean and shine your shoes, repair stitching, replace soles, and match the color to any areas that are worn. If the shoes are leather, they can shrink, or stretch the material to ensure a proper fit.

Whether you need a small repair to your woven garments and rugs, or even a larger repair, our expert reweaving team has you covered. Here at Jack’s, we have several different types of reweaving styles at our disposal. For smaller repairs, we use The Invisible Weave. With this weave, our tailor will take individual threads from a concealed area in the garment like a hem or side seam and reweave them over the damaged area. For larger areas, it may require taking a section of fa...bric and weaving a new piece over the damaged area. Be aware that with this type of reweaving, there may be a slight shift in the weave at the point of connection, but it can make larger repairs almost unnoticeable. And just like that, your wool and woven garments are restored to like-new condition! Note: However, some fabrics may not be suitable for reweaving, such as rayon, corduroy, chiffon, satin, and fine silk. If you’re ready to experience the difference, stop Jack’s Cleaners today!

Here at Jack’s Cleaners, we invest in some of the best dry cleaning equipment the industry has to offer. Fancy equipment aside, we’ve been in business since 1977 because of one reason we’re masters of the fundamentals. Any dry cleaner that knows how to clean clothing at the highest level knows the most important, and often overlooked, part of dry cleaning is the initial inspection. This is where we take stock of what type of care your garments need to have them feeling like... new when you return to pick them up. We take this inspection so seriously that we’ve created our very own 7 point inspection process. The all-natural products used at Jack’s Cleaners are extremely gentle, protecting the color and delicate finishes of your garments, including silky sheen, waterproofing and wrinkle-free textures. Protect your wardrobe with professional dry cleaning it will prolong the life and luster of your clothing!

We identify your garments with a tag system, then sort them by type, fabric content, color, and cleaning method. Some garments may need to laundered, hand washes, or wetcleaned. Other specialty items such as leathers or furs require special care. Some garments may require some stain removal efforts before we clean them, and others may not. After cleaning, we check your clothes for any remaining stains that may not have come out in the regular cleaning process. This is called spotting or stain removal. Any lingering stains are removed as best as possible using the appropriate products. These items are then re-cleaned before we give them back to you. Looking to pack up your winter wardrobe and store it for next year? As the styles of sweaters change, so do the fibers of this wardrobe staple. Sweaters are made from a variety of fibers, ranging from cotton and wool to silk, rayon, acrylic and more. Natural fibers, such as angora, mohair, cashmere, and Shetland are especially popular. To add to the variety many sweaters contain special decorative trims. Trims such as suede, leather, snakeskin, fur, sequins, and beads add to a sweater's special look. Caring for these delicate knits requires special attention. Check out our services: https://bit.ly/39kqN2L

Fun Fact: Dry cleaning uses fluids to remove soils and stains from fabric. The fluid contains little or no water and does not penetrate the fibers like water. Click here to learn more: https://bit.ly/39kqN2L

Starch or no starch? Starch and sizing additives can increase the firmness of fabrics, particularly on dress shirts. These additives can protect and harm shirts at the same time. Shirts undergo two types of abrasions. Flat abrasion occurs when the shirt rubs against another surface. Flex abrasion refers to the stretching of fibers when the wearer bends an elbow or otherwise stretches the material.... Starch helps protect shirts by enabling them to withstand higher degrees of flat abrasion. However, since starch stiffens the fibers and makes them less flexible, it reduces the shirt's ability to withstand flex abrasion. Starch's primary function is to add body or stiffness to a fabric resulting in little flexibility. This lack of flexibility causes the fabric to snap under extreme pressure rather than stretch, decreasing the fabric's tensile strength. It all depends on how you want your shirts to look vs. how long you want them to last. The life expectancy of a shirt can be shortened by the use of starches and sizings because these additives reduce the ability to bend, stretch, and straighten during use. Balancing out those negatives are the bonuses of having better whiteness retention, a crisper look, and increased stain resistance. https://bit.ly/39kqN2L

It is hard to believe that gasoline and kerosene were used to clean fabrics at one time. They made wonderful cleaning solvents for the materials then, but they were highly flammable and harsh for the skin. Click the link to learn about our Eco Cleaning! http://bit.ly/2MLlQH2

Did you know hidden stains can resurface after cleaning if not addressed prior to cleaning?! It's a whole lot easier to get rid of unwanted guests before they become permanent residents. Mysterious stains sometimes appear on clothes after a period of time in storage. Faint stains may also appear worse or stains "invisible" to the naked eye may show up only after the garment is cleaned. Making sure clothing is properly cleaned before storage is the best defense against these problems. This is true for all garments including wedding gowns. Club soda and water are good short-term solutions to stains, but they do not remove all of the staining material. It is risky to store a garment that has not been fully cleaned. Be sure to tell the counter staff about any stains or spills when dropping off clothes. https://bit.ly/39kqN2L

Many stains caused by cosmetics, oily foods, and beverages will get best results when pre-treated. Many festive dishes, unfortunately, contain ingredients that are not easily removed using household stain removal techniques. These may require solvent-based treatments. Let us know if you are not sure what the best procedure would be! Thank you for the opportunity to care for your wardrobe. https://bit.ly/35730jT
