Do you have a "helper" in your kitchen with you when you cook or bake?

What can I say... Tonight was breathtakingly beautiful. It was the most massive slaying that I've ever seen a politician have to sit through. Not only did every... single public commenter oppose the ordinance, every one, but Mr. Madison lost the support of all of his colleagues, every one. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SHOWED UP. I LOVE YOU GUYS. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SPREAD THE WORD AND WORKED IN YOUR OWN WAY. I LOVE YOU GUYS. The opposition to discrimination was overwhelming and the public comments were fantastic. There were so many good ones and the multiple hour video of this epic fail will go down in history in regards to turning back a literal tyrant and his horrendous plot. At the very end, instead of voting on the breed-specific ordinance directly and voting it down (which it would have been, 6-1) officially, they opted to "table" it and put everything (MSN for all dogs, BSL, PHS canvasing results) back on the docket for a discussion during the summer. This idea got pushed forth by a 5-3 vote. Kennedy, Tornek and Masuda opposed. Robinson, McAustin and Gordo supported, because they want to further talk about MSN for all breeds. The Mayor also supported the reconvene. Madison supported it as well, and he will absolutely re-insert his anti-Pit Bull crap come summer, he already stated he would. He also stated that even if the Council outright voted it down, that he'd reintroduce it. He is a complete sociopath. All that aside, he was owned tonight. He was condescending, and laughed at the opposition, and was beyond sensationalistic, and was completely disingenuous, and was just an all around asshat. He has no support on this issue at this point, and we will be there in mass (whenever it is) to put the brakes on his shady tactics going forward. I'd say that over 200 people likely showed up. The main room was standing room only, plus we filled 2 rooms in the basement! All of the media channels were there, and they left when they saw that no one was in favor of it. It will be interesting to see if they show anything about it on the news. But regardless, doesn't matter. Video now exists, more and more. What matters is that people saw this for what it was, and opposed the shit out of it. And so did the other Council members.
