Iron Springs Public House

To our San Rafael community: Due to the spacial constraints of Iron Springs Public House, we are unable to safely re-open until after the shelter in place order has been removed. We will be open in Fairfax Friday-Monday through out the month of April. We miss you all!!!!

Update 3.26.2020: First and foremost we would like to thank our community for the copious amounts of support and love we have received through out this ordeal. Our community as well as our team are first and foremost our priority. We have many employees that are in need of keeping some type of revenue stream going for themselves and their families. We had to lay off such a great number of folks it has been one of our hardest struggles through all this. They are our family.... Here is what plan our team came up with: Our team worked very hard this week developing a menu as well as the proper safety and sanitation protocols that will allow us to offer this take out menu starting 2:00 pm on 3.27.2020 in Fairfax. Our plan is to do take out food and beer Friday-Monday from 2:00-7:00, then close Tuesday-Thursday. (we will not be open today to sell to go beer) We have a system set up so you may call your order in at 415-485-1005, pay for it over the phone, then we can bring it out to you when you arrive. A note to our community: Anne, myself, and the entire Iron Springs team would like to thank you for the incredible outpouring of support we continue to receive on a daily basis. We had our first test of doing to go items as safely and as sanitary as possible yesterday selling to go beer in Fairfax and it was so nice to see so many of our community (from a safe 6' away as best we could of course). We are meeting tomorrow to discuss what the next steps should be and we will le...t you all know what we decide as a collective unit the best way to navigate through these uncharted waters. What is the right answer? We are in a shelter in place holding pattern. Schools out indefinitely. We have laid off 95% of our team at both locations. We are supposed to practice social distance which is impossible if you are working in a restaurant.... We are technically allowed to offer take out food but that puts our team at risk if we do. Do we regroup and offer this option like many other restaurants are doing or do we take the safer, potentially fatal move to our businesses futures move, and just shut down completely until this is all over? We have an update to share with our community. After much deliberation with our team and it is with a very heavy heart to inform you we feel that it is in the b...est interest of the greater good of everyone’s health and well-being that we shut down indefinitely both locations until this pandemic is under control. We will, for St. Paddy‘s Day in Fairfax, offer takeout as well as curbside pick up (or Doirdash) for our food, especially our famous corn beef and cabbage, as well as to go beer , or gift certificates from 1 o’clock to 7 o’clock. The outpouring of support we have received in the last few days has been amazingly heartwarming and we feel so appreciative of our community. We also want to give a big shout out to our team as this has greatly affected so many of them and their families. Just want to let our community know we are trying to get a full grasp and clarification on Gavin Newsome's most recent press announcement about closures. We WILL be open tonight and practicing proper spacial distancing. We are waiting on word about if we can stay open or not and in what capacity, or do to go food and beer. Most importantly is the health and safety of our staff and our community, so what ever decision is made this is what takes greatest precedence. Stay tuned for updates as they come.
