The past few months have been bitter sweet! Yes, we have started school back up. No, we are not on campus. No, there has not been a normal summer of having our athletes on campus for workouts and practices. No we have not started games. Our facilities are eerily empty and without the normal air of excitement that comes with sports. Tonight would have marked our unofficial kickoff to the 2020-2021 athletic year with our first home football game. Tonight, there were no lig...hts, no band, no cheerleaders, no players, and no fans. This is certainly far from normal and can be disheartening to a lot of folks. We are trying our best to stay positive about this year and staying hopeful and excited for the opportunity we still have to start athletics back up again in December with the CIF adjusted calendar. We see this as a moment of pause. A necessary pause. A pause so we as a world, a country, a society, a city, a school district, and as a school can get it done right for our children and students alike! Our students and student athletes are very important to us and our culture on campus. All campuses, actually. Our coaches, athletes, and athletic staff are down but not out! We are holding onto the hope we can get started. We are using this time to prepare. For the Coyote Family of Athletes, use this pause as time to get your heads on straight, refocus your priorities, and be prepared to start when we are able. We truly hope you are all safe and healthy and doing your part so we can get back as soon as possible! Go Coyotes! See more
