Irish American Bar Association- Los Angeles

We celebrated the 36th Annual Daniel O'Connell Award dinner by honoring The Honorable Virgina Phillips, Chief Judge, US District Court Los Angeles She was introduced by the Hon. Michael Fitzgerald and greeted by the new Consul General of Ireland to Los Angeles, Orla Keane. It was a lovely evening and a well deserved award.

This week we will celebrating the 30th year of our Irish Student Extern program. The Minister of State for Diaspora and International Development, Ciaran Cannon TD is hosting a reception for members of the IABA and former externs.

We had a great evening at our annual reception for the Irish Externs.

Last night’s meet and greet with the incoming (and first Los Angeles-based) Consul General of Ireland, Orla Keane, at the new Contemporary Irish Arts Center in Los Angeles which is set to open this Saturday, June 15th.

Great night with the Italians, sharing jokes and stories. Always a good time at Gaelic and Garlic!!
