Remote services available for Spring 2021: How to reach out to IEC and receive services. SMC Staff members are working remotely, here are the best ways for international students and applicants to reach out for direct services: For verification letters, health insurance and housing questions, F1 visa/I-20 questions, or to schedule an appointment with an immigration specialist, email us from SMC student email at [email protected], we reply within 1 or 2 business days.... You can visit SMC International website at www.smc.edu/international to use our live chat feature during business hours, email counselors using ASK IECC option, or to visit with counselors through "Zoom Express". Applicants can reach out to their admissions coach in the online application message center at www.SMC.edu/Iapp. You may call our office at 310-434-4218 and be referred to the proper staff members who can assist you further, or you can leave us a message here on Instagram. (Please note that we can only provide general guidance to protect your privacy under FERPA, and we will often refer you back to the services mentioned above). Many of our friendly staff members are willing to hop on zoom with you if you require additional guidance. We look forward to assisting you!

A good way to get involved at SMC and to connect with new people is to join a club that fits your interest or explore new interests! Contact clubs you are interested in joining. With enough students and a sponsor, you can start a new club! Clubs meet or have events during activity hour on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 11:15 am to 12:35. Spring 2021 Club List should be available around March 2021. Club Awareness will be on March 11 (Connect virtually with SMC Clubs). Club Row... is scheduled for April 29-11:15 to 12:35 (meet the club officers, find out what specific clubs do, how to get involved, and how/when they meet). SMC recently announced that classes will continue to be held online through Summer 2021 semester. Have you joined our mingle yet? Come one, come all! We're back in session for the winter and spring semesters. Mingles happen each Friday at 2:00pm PST. We have presentations around different themes and play games together. Next Mingle will be Friday January 29th. You can find all information and resources about housing, as well as some tips and strategies on how to get started for an apartment search on the SMC International page website. Just go to smc.edu/international, click the Current Students link on the left side of the page, and click the Housing link to explore all of the different options in order to meet your needs.
