I think the time has come to speak up. Yesterday the 117th Congress was opened in prayer by this man, who is a Methodist minister. The press has focused on the fact that he concluded that prayer with the words amen and awoman (which in itself is ridiculous and proves that he has no idea of what amen actually means) but there was something far more troubling that the media missed. If you listen to the prayer, as I did, towards the end he invokes the name of Brahma, a Hindu false god, as the one to whom we appeal. Let me tell you if that is who our hope is placed in, then we have no hope at all! Psalm 33:12 states: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world to save us says in Deuteronomy 32:39 there is no god besides Me.
