In The Spotlight students realize that a truly exquisite dancer is the result of someone who is equally aware of their body position, angles, posture, arm placement, facial expression and mentality. Awareness of these things allows the dancer to sharpen their focus and deliver a performance full of emotion, free of self distraction. #traininthespotlight

In The Spotlight students understand that a dancer must put forth the effort to work every day in some way at improving their craft, be it through practice, other exercise, meditation, strength training or critical viewing of other dance performances. In The Spotlight dancers understand that in order to fulfill our art completely, we must be fully conditioned. Executing with precision requires hours of strenuous practice and a fully engaged body. The endurance required by dance is demanding, but as dancers, this is exactly what we’re trained for. #traininthespotlight

We’ve been keeping a secret! In The Spotlight has joined the America’s Kids in Motion family! We look forward to continuing our journey at our new studio location, but with your same teachers and curriculum. All programming will continue to operate under the direction of Ashley Gorden. Company members Bella and Claudia did an excellent job bringing Teacher Rachel’s intricate choreography to life at Spotlight Dance Cup! Looking forward to watching this brilliant piece all season long!

We are so very proud of our Junior Company dancers! Teacher Rachel and Teacher Ashley really pushed them outside of their comfort zones with props and a new style. They rose to the occasion and earned the Choreography Award at Spotlight Dance Cup this past weekend!
