Many grocery stores and other retailers will be adding sneeze guards at check stands as an added safety buffer between cashiers and customers. Installations are underway and many retailers say they plan to install sanitary guards in all stores over the next few days. Interstate Plastics will continue to work with companies and organizations to ensure customer and worker safety is a top priority.

The annual FIRST Robotics Competition is underway, but did you know that one bold and determined team is working to conceptualize and build their robots in a week? As a part of Robots Done Quick, the Week 6 Robotics team develops concepts and robots to inspire students that participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition. The Birmingham branch of Interstate Plastics was happy to sponsor the Week 6 Robotics team’s polycarbonate materials. Our communities are as important to us as our customers. The Boise, Idaho branch of Interstate Plastics recently held a leaf clean-up event at Fairview Park, just west of downtown Boise. Spanning just under two acres, Fairview Park features basketball and tennis courts, nice open grassy areas, and a kid’s playground. To clean up this wonderful space, IP volunteers brought their own rakes, blowers, and great attitudes. Two hours, countless leaves, and more than two dozen leaf bags later, the park looks amazing! Thanks to their efforts, the local residents and others who enjoy the park now have a clean place to relax and play.
