This week, Bay Area electronic artist, Alan Rath, died. His work was called "kinetic" and "experimental;" it was conceptual and smart. Back when the Web was young, we commissioned Alan to create this sculpture: "World Wide Web 1997--2 Terabyes in 63 Inches." Brewster wanted to know: if you put the Web in a box, what would it look like? Come by our SF Headquarters someday and stand in front of Rath's sculpture. If you stand there long enough, every single Web page that existed... in 1997 will flicker on and off. Today, we remember Alan Rath. His work lives on, glowing and shifting, like the Web itself. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Rath
