Yoga2Sleep: Relax and Fall Asleep Naturally with Pamela Stokes Eggleston this Sat. & Sun., October 31 - November 1 (Please register by 2 pm PDT on Oct. 30): https://bit.ly/3dtxMJt In this online workshop, release stress, tension, and overwhelm with Yoga2Sleep, a Yoga therapy workshop designed to support a better quality of sleep. This workshop includes personal assessment, pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, intention, and mindset. Yoga2Sl...eep uses scientific research, in combination with ancient, traditional yogic practices to help you achieve better sleep for the best life. Sleep is an integral function of the parasympathetic (rest and digest) part of the nervous system. When we don’t get enough sleep, our bodies, brains, and emotions suffer. There is good evidence that cognitive and/or physiological excitement, associated with sustained sympathetic activation, is one of the underlying causes of insomnia. A large body of evidence-based research supports Yoga therapy protocols that holistically address insomnia and sleeplessness. The multi-layered approach of Yoga therapy uses scientific research, in combination with ancient, traditional yogic practices. And you will have access to the video recordings for 8 weeks after the program ends, until December 27. Visit integralyogasf.org events calendar for more details! -Continuing Education (CE) -Yoga Alliance (YA): Approximately 6 contact hours #Yoga2Sleep #PamelaStokesEggleston #onlineyogaworkshop #sleep #Yogatherapy #integralyoga

-Excerpted from "Lockdown" by Br. Richard Hendrick All over the world people are waking up to a new reality To how big we really are. To how little control we really have.... To what really matters. To Love. So we pray and we remember that Yes there is fear. But there does not have to be hate. Yes there is isolation. But there does not have to be loneliness.

Sri Swami Satchidananda himself did not belong to any one faith, group, or country. Dedicated to the principle that Truth is One, Paths are Many, he went wherever he was asked to serve. He would bring together people of all backgrounds and beliefs for the purpose of learning respect for all the different paths and realizing their common spirit and the universality of their goal. He dreamed of a place where all could come together to individually realize the one Truth behind... all the names and forms. The LOTUS (Light of Truth Universal Shrine) is such a place. Opened in July 1986, the Shrine inspired and designed by Sri Swamiji is located in the United States at Satchidananda Ashram Yogaville in Virginia. It is dedicated to the light of all faiths and to world peace and it stands as a beautiful example of the universal teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda. Sri Swamiji left his body on August 18, 2002. #sriswamisatchidananda #integralyogainstitute #truthisonepathsaremany #peace

Actions to correct Social Injustices -Swami Ramananda At every opportunity, we must speak out against injustice when we see, hear, or witness it and be a presence of peace in moments of conflict. Even when we cannot help directly, we can offer support to those who are fighting against racism and violence. We must make our voices heard to those seeking election, so that policies that support social justice are enacted at every level of government.
