We are reaching out to YOU! The Paradise Shelter is full of dogs. At this point, it consists of two types. 1) Our Paradise Strong dogs that people have been sur...rendering in order to find homes. ( No judgement please, there have been many tears but with the fire some have had to do the unthinkable). And 2) An unexpected pack of Carolina dogs ( Dingo ) that will need a TON of socializing in order to find homes and be introduced to love. We are dedicated to making this happen as a no-kill shelter. But it will be a slow process. If you are ready for a pet or know someone that is please tag them in our posts of adoptable pets and share them in your feed. Let's get our pet survivors in loving homes. If you live in Magalia, Paradise or Chico and want to help our adoptable pets...volunteer! You can volunteer between 11-3 Tuesday-Sat at your own pace and schedule! Our process is application, orientation, interview, fingerprints ( felonies not accepted) It takes a few weeks but our animals need you. What we need most are independent volunteers that can take our dogs out to the yard for play and connection. You must have the will and strength for this. Most people say " I can't it's to sad " or " I will end up with to many pets." But once you see our animals get adopted after you worked with them, you will see that's not the case AT ALL. Its beyond rewarding. It's something YOU can do to bring meaning and purpose into your life. Lastly, wherever you find yourself after the fire or because of the fire ... if you are feeling alone, out of sorts, lost or.... hopeful, motivated, determined... just know there are animals at the shelter reflecting your exact sentiment. Seeing them succeed is a win! Pash cares!
