We got a text from Alison owner of Power Kids on Sunday afternoon and we paid her a visit at her office. We had been avoiding this situation for 5 months because We knew she was gonna piss us off and she didn’t disappoint. She started off saying that we weren’t getting credit for half of March, even though our girls didn’t train the last half of the month. No reason given. Just no refund for March. We stated to her that the $900.00 and change that she had offered to refund... us was not even close to what we were expecting to be refunded. She went on to explain that there is two ways of doing fundraising and that the way it was done at Powerkids is basically we all overpay in order for higher levels to be able to afford to compete in Nationals or other Elite meets. She went on to say that I’d would appreciate that system when my daughters made it to level 10. I thought to myself, When my daughters make it to level 10 we’re paying their way. Not asking for hand outs!! I bet she loves that system because guess who get to travel with all expenses paid when coaching higher levels..... she does!! She basically said, Not necessarily is it going to be, this is what I paid, this is what I should get back. Because it goes into a general fund. She did admit that in the future she would change that to make it more understandable. We have giving you a chance to change the concept we’ve had of you all along and again you disappoint. You totally disappeared at the beginning of the pandemic and abandoned all the kids and selfishly protecting your interests by locking out all the kids. Last chance to make it right!! Give everyone their money back, everything!! Don’t hold on to the profits you would of made had the meets not been canceled. This could end here or we can escalate this, it’s really your choice.
